Who We Are
Africa Youth Development and Training Center is a non-profit making organization whose mission is to champion the reduction of diseases burden through empowering communities to observe safer sanitation practices and providing the needed support to trigger development in those communities. It was established in 2012 with Registration Number CG032722012.
We have over the years work in collaboration with the Coalition of NGO’s in Water and Sanitation (CONIWAS) with the support of UNICEF, some local organizations and banks and currently the Roddenberry Foundation to facilitate WASH assignment in some districts of the Volta region such as Biakoye, Kadjebi, North Tongu and Ho Municipality on the use of social Norms to curb the incidence of indiscriminate open defecation. We have advocated for the provision of potable drinking water for deprived communities in the Volta regional. AYDTC is also committed to promoting togetherness, human resource development, women and self-empowerment and development, girl child education and encouraging community participation to transform the structure of society in the interest of social cohesion, gender and sustainable socio-economic development.

Christian Ahodie Yaw - Executive Director
Christian Ahodie Yaw ,is the Executive Director of the Africa Youth Development and Training Center hold a Post Graduate Diploma in environmental health from - Africa institute of Sanitation and Waste management -Kwame nkrumah University of science and Technology
DOROTHY LEWU - Administrator
A program that focuses on Developmental issues. She has been the Administrator for the Africa Youth Development and Training Centre for the past One and half year now. She is admired for her prowess in ICT which she commits towards delivering her duties efficiently. A flexible and experienced Administrator with excellent time management skills. A good communicator with proven inter personal skills with a team spirit.
Samuel Asamoah - Director for Operations
He is currently the National General Secretary for the Ghana WASH Journalist Network GWJN. He is also a member of the West Africa WASH Journalist Network and serves on many WASH projects committees. As mission and community development oriented person, he has led the operations of the AYDTC to eradicate open defecation in many communities in the Volta region.
